How long have you been in business?
Since October of 2006 as a made-to-order bakery, by delivery only. However, in late 2015 (soon!!), we're opening a retail bakery in downtown Akron, at 76 East Mill Street!
What is your primary product or service?
Pies, Cakes, Cookies, Bread, Rolls, Scones, Muffins, and everything in between. Wedding and special event cakes too!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've always loved to bake and cook. Growing up, my mom made everything from scratch and helping her in the kitchen was always something I looked forward to. She inspired my sisters and me with a love and appreciation for amazing food made with lots of love. I couldn't think of a better place to be than my kitchen!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Everything is made fresh, by hand, on-site, daily; no box mix anything. We locally source whatever ingredients we can to offer only the highest quality products. Even our beverages are locally sourced, with Kent's own Bent Tree Coffee and Akron's Norka Beverage to wet your whistle. As a Bakery, not just a Cakery, you'll find fresh handmade breads, quiche and buttermilk biscuits (among other things!), in addition to our handmade pies, cakes, and cookies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
In late 2015 we will be opening our first retail bakery, right in the heart of downtown Akron! While we have no plans to open multiple locations, we will be branching out to area restaurants, who will soon be carrying your favorite desserts! Stay tuned for where to find them.

We're opening soon at 76 East Mill Street, downtown Akron. Easily accessible with a front door directly off Mill Street, in the first floor of Greystone Hall, and right across the street from the John S. Knight Convention Center! On street metered parking is available on both sides of Mill Street, or there is a public parking lot behind the building accessible from High Street (Southbound one-way) and a Parking Deck right next door, accessible from either Broadway (Northbound one-way) or Wheeler Lane, adjacent to the Bakery.
